Tom Holiday |
1971
Uniontown High School graduate Tom Holiday, you can be found where's he's
been most of his life. On a baseball field. He's currently an assistant
coach at the University of Texas, with nearly three decades of college
coaching experience. The Red Raider
football, basketball and baseball star has been involved in the careers of
many major league stars during his illustrious time in college athletics.
Prior to joining the coaching staff at the University of Texas, Holiday was
a key member of the Oklahoma State coaching staff for 26 years. During that
time he helped the Cowboys gain an entrance to 17 NCAA tournaments. For more

Kevin Dvorchak |
It is indeed
rare that a Red Raider
has managed to letter for more than three years in any
sport at a time at Uniontown Area High School. Kevin Dvorchak was one
exception. This 1998 graduate was a 4 year
starter and lettered all 4 years in both football and baseball. Dvorchak
also earned All County honors in both baseball and football while in high
school. He's currently continuing his success at Slippery Rock University.
He's now a junior who has played both sports in college and who is currently
a starting pitcher on the Slippery Rock baseball team. When he's not busy
with athletics, you can find him sitting in front of a computer, as an
information technology major. His efforts in that area have earned him a
part time job in the Slippery Rock information office. |

Scott A. Henderson |
Scott Henderson is further proof that you can continue
to achieve after your Red Raider
years. Henderson led Uniontown in touchdowns as a wide
receiver on the 1982 team. Later, the track and football standout, gained
1st team All Big 9 Conference honors and took his football skills to Kent
State University, where he earned 3 varsity letters and a BA in Justice
Studies. Henderson now lives in Seattle, Washington with his wife Wanda and
his 2 year-old daughter -- Kai Duncan. He's worked for 6 years for the
United States Courts as a United States Probation Officer. |

Jes Hutson |
Former Red Raider Jess Hutson was one of the standouts
on the Red Raider basketball teams of the early 1970's. He graduated in
1971, he played and got degrees from both West Virginia University and
Robert Morris College. He later coached basketball for 13 years. He's still
highly visible! He teaches Health and Physical Education at Penn State's
Fayette campus, he can be seen giving the play-by-play for local games on
the Herald-Standard's television outlet HSTV and he's recently started
coaching the girl's basketball team at Clairton High School. |

Jory
Coughenour |
Former Red Raider baseball player and
swimmer Jory Coughenour
is now a minor league pitcher in the Houston Astros
farm system. He was drafted in the 20th round and plays for the Single-A
Michigan Battle Cats. He was named their Pitcher of the Month in April of
2001. |

Chris Palumbo |
This 1995 graduate earned
3rd team All State
honors his senior year. He was a member of the
acclaimed
Red Raider 1000 Point Club
and
the president of his class for four years! He attended Point Park
University, where he graduated with high honors. He's earned dual degrees
in law and business. He's about to release a his first book on
self-motivation. |

Richard Constantine |
Rich Constantine
was
the easiest of all ex-Raiders to find! The football standout and WPIAL
champion wrestler is currently head of Secondary Education for the
Uniontown Area School District. |

Wilfred Minor |
"Hawk" Minor
was not only a natural leader, a starting quarterback and point guard, on
the field of athletics. He's still a leader. Presently he's the principal
at Fallis Elementary School in Denver, Colorado. You can contact him by

Gene Huey |
Gene Huey
after graduating from the University of Wyoming in 1969, Huey began his
coaching at the same University. He's also coached at New Mexico,
Nebraska, Arizona State, Ohio State and in the NFL with the Indianapolis

Ron Sepic

Ron Sepic
had an
opportunity to play in the NBA and the NFL after he graduated from Ohio
State University. The all-around athlete decided to go to school to become
a dentist instead! Sepic
now practices
his dental skills in Uniontown.

Chuck Muncie |
Chuck Muncie's playing
days ended before he reached his prime. His personal problems were
well-chronicled. But Muncie has now dedicated his life to reaching out to
children. The four time All Pro now runs the Chuck
Muncie Youth Foundation in California. |

Bill Power |
Following Bill Power's
retirement from coaching and teaching he moved to Florida. But retirement
doesn't keep Uniontown's football coaching legend from returning to
Uniontown when asked. He returned when they named the high school's
stadium after him on October 28th, 1994. And he comes back to reminisce at
occasional class reunions. |

Stu Lantz |
Stu Lantz certainly
likes to hang out with winners. That's because he's had first hand
experience being one. This first string All-Stater is currently the color
commentator for the Los Angeles Lakers. Lantz has worked alongside La

Ray
Gillian |
When Uniontown desperately needed a touchdown in the 1965
WPIAL Championship game, Ray Gillian
got it. When Ohio State desperately needed a touchdown to beat O.J.
Simpson in the Rose Bowl in order to be crowned Nation Champion, Ray
Gillian got it. After graduating from Ohio State the versatile
Gillian
became a counselor at East Stroudsburg, then an assistant to the
President of The University of Maryland for 16 years and recently he was
named the Assistant Provost and Director of Equal Opportunity and
Affirmative Action at Johns Hopkins University.

Richard "Slug" Fisher |
The Red Raiders played their home games at Lafayette Junior
High School's gymnasium while the new facility was worked on at its
current Wilson Avenue location. Richard "Slug" Fisher scored the
very first points on Uniontown's new floor in 1955. two points that
contributed to a
60-44 victory over arch rival Connellsville.
Fisher is retired from the US Navy and he currently lives in Dacula,
Georgia near Atlanta. he can be reached at
